Liam Neeson may have found a new faith during his time filming in Istanbul.

The Irish actor admitted to the U.K.’s Sun newspaper that he is considering giving up his Catholic beliefs in order to become a Muslim.

Neeson, 59, went on to explain that Islamic prayer “got into his spirit” when he spent time in the Turkish city working on the action-thriller “Taken 2.”

“The call to prayer happens five times a day, and for the first week, it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit, and it’s the most beautiful, beautiful thing,” he told the newspaper.

“There are 4,000 mosques in the city,” he added. “Some are just stunning, and it really makes me think about becoming a Muslim.”

Neeson, who was raised a devout Catholic, served as an altar boy during his youth and was named after a local priest in Northern Ireland.

However the actor, who stars in the upcoming action flick “The Grey,” has previously expressed his opinions toward religion.

“I was reared a Catholic, but I think every day we ask ourselves, not consciously, what are we doing on this planet? What’s it all about?” he has said. “I’m constantly reading books on God or the absence of God and atheism.”

A fatal mistake that some make when they hear about the historical atrocities of oppressive and monstrous ruling systems in the past, is that they think these atrocities could never happen again. That these vicious rulers and dictators were just weird and different species of people. The fact is from the atrocities of the inquisitions all the way to Hitler, no ruler ever said I am an insane, vicious, mass-murdering dictator, or simply, I am evil on Earth. On the contrary, all these horrendous mass crimes that killed and devastated the lives of millions were in the name of God, Christianity, purifying souls, fighting the devil, and in the case of Hitler, it was God and country while standing up to the foreign conspiracies and the domestic ones of the German Jews who were supposedly five minutes away from taking over Europe after imposing their rule on Germany. Sounds familiar?

The insane statements of our hopeful, new chubby Hitler, or insane cardinal Gingrich, have reached such an alarming level, that it cannot be anymore just appeasing the extreme right of the tea party zealots, but literally, it had reached a level where the land of the free is witnessing the foundation of a new facist system being laid down before our own eyes. Such vicious statements against Islam, Muslims, and Sharia law that reached a rare level of insanity, when he claimed that the millions of Palestinians who have been living in Palestine since ever, are just invented people! In a normal setting, these are enough statements to easily admit cardinal Gingrich into a mental ward, as opposite to getting into the White House.

I, however, will not blame that whole Sharia matter in cardinal Gingrich’s corner, for some politicians are willing to do and say whatever they think may appease their crowd, or some of their base regardless of how racist, un-American, and embarrassing their statements are. To give you an example of the level that the Sharia mania had reached, I was invited to participate in a radio program, where they brought a two decade former CIA analyst that is supposedly an expert about the Middle East, OH, and Sharia matters. Of course, the “expert” is currently a freelance analyst with some of the well known think tanks that are financed and are fronts to the extreme right and their defense contractors to promote tensions and wars in the minds of the easily deceived in the public opinion arena. And since we have pulled out of the Iraqi war bonanza to a large extent, the expert broke to the American people the amazing piece of news that we just discovered that now it is Iran that was behind September 11th! I even had to plead with them as an American, and not even as a Muslim scholar, to fear God, pushing for another war, while we are about to bankrupt Medicaid and Medicare, just to balance a 1.2 trillion gap in our deficit called the Iraqi war. Yet the big circus was that Sharia law is about imposing Sharia law on Christians and Jews on foreign lands. And as a learned Muslim, hearing that for the first time in his entire life, I questioned what the sister expert was saying, especially quoting verse 8:60 of the Holy Quran, which in substance, says, “Prepare every power you can to deter and scare the enemies of God from attacking you”. And of course, her translation was “striking terror in the hearts of your enemy”. But the amazing thing was, when I reminded the lady with the immediate verse after – and they never quote you the verse before or the verse after, so you are always denied context – which is verse 8:61, that says “And if they lent towards peace, then lean towards peace and rely upon Allah”. But the “expert” goes on to translate that verse as “If the enemy surrenders and allows itself to be subjugated to Islam and accept Sharia law, they don’t have to convert, but they do have to submit to Sharia law, and if they do so, then of course there’ll be peace.” And of course when I exposed the lie, she jumped to Surat Al-Tawbah (Chapter 9), and right off the bat, claimed that its called “The Sword”, even though in every Quran in the world it’s called “Al-Tawbah” or Repentence, and then to their usual bait of a translation of verse 9:29, that orders the prophet of Islam in substance that “people who commit the crimes that God had forbidden to commit need to be fought, even if they were Christians and Jews, till they pay their respective tax, Jiziah, and oblige to the law. And of course, you can imagine how many times the war contractors, or “experts”, tried to insert, impose Sharia law, subjugate Christians and Jews, etc in the verse. And as if this was an alien concept to the radio anchor as well, he asked me, isn’t it Sharia law what they want these Christians and Jews to oblige by?

And of course it felt ridiculous that I had to explain to these two adults that as we, living in America, oblige by American laws, and as the French oblige by the law of the land, which is French law, there was the breaking news, people who live in Muslim lands oblige by Islamic law! And then when they obviously they felt that ridiculous, they tried to claim that the Jiziah tax was more than what a Muslim pays, which I mathematically proved to them that it was the opposite, then I kept mopping after them, all the insane, usual fabrications about Muslims and Islam and Sharia law, which is obviously the next weapons of mass deception and the current con job they are perpetrating upon the American people hoping for whatever war they can get out of it.

I urge every American, and for that matter, every decent American, to speak up against this next wave of facism, for if any American would allow them to discriminate and hurt an American minority with their insanity of bigotry and Racism, then they gave them license to do it to any other group of Americans. Just like what happened to the Germans when they allowed the atrocities to happen to their fellow German citizens, then called the Jews.

The last insane statement from cardinal Gingrich was that “any Muslim who seeks public office needs to denounce Sharia law and Islam”.

And my answer was, for any American, Muslim or non-Muslim who is seeking public office, it should be required that you denounce any relationship whatsoever, with Her Gingrich.

(CNN) – A federal appeals court has blocked an Oklahoma voter-approved measure barring state judges from considering Islamic and international law in their decisions.

The three-judge panel at the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld an earlier injunction preventing State Question 755 from being certified until the free speech questions are resolved. The decision Tuesday allows a lawsuit brought by Islamic-American groups to move ahead to a bench trial.

“The proposed amendment discriminates among religions,” said the judges. “The Oklahoma amendment specifically names the target of its discrimination. The only religious law mentioned in the amendment is Sharia law.”

A federal judge last summer had issued a temporary restraining order in favor of the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which had sued to nullify the law completely.

The amendment would require Oklahoma courts to “rely on federal and state law when deciding cases” and “forbids courts from considering or using” either international law or Islamic religious law, known as Sharia, which the amendment defined as being based on the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed.

In bringing suit, CAIR argued that the amendment violates the establishment and free-exercise clauses of the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious freedom. The group’s local leader, Muneer Awad, has said the amendment passed in November 2010 under a campaign of fear and misinformation about Islam.

“This is an important reminder that the Constitution is the last line of defense against a rising tide of anti-Muslim bigotry in our society, and we are pleased that the appeals court recognized that fact,” Awad told CNN after Tuesday’s announcement.

The appeals court said voter initiatives normally should be given great deference by the courts but concluded the Oklahoma measure would be applied selectively.

Ballot supporters “do not identify any actual problem the challenged amendment seeks to solve,” said the 37-page ruling. “Indeed, they admitted at the preliminary injunction hearing that they did not know of even a single instance where an Oklahoma court had applied Sharia law or used the legal precepts of other nations or cultures, let alone that such applications or uses had resulted in concrete problems in Oklahoma.”

State Question 755, also known as the “Save Our State” measure, was approved by a 7-3 ratio. It was sponsored by Oklahoma State Reps. Rex Duncan and Anthony Sykes, both Republicans.

“The fact that Sharia law was even considered anywhere in the United States is enough for me” to sign on, Sykes told CNN last year. “It should scare anyone that any judge in America would consider using that as precedent.”

Sykes said his concern was compounded by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan’s comments during her confirmation hearings in June 2010 that she would be willing to consider international law when hearing cases before the court.
As written on the ballot, the measure states it would amend a state constitution section dealing with the state courts, making them “rely on federal and state law” when deciding cases, forbidding them “from considering or using international law” and “from considering or using Sharia Law.”

The ballot then briefly described international law, which “deals with the conduct of international organizations and independent nations, such as countries, states and tribes,” and Sharia, which is “based on two principal sources, the Koran and the teaching of Mohammed.”

“Shall the proposal be approved?” the ballot read, instructing voters to respond “yes” if they’re for the proposal and “no” if they’re against it.

Saleem Quraishi, president of the American Muslim Association of Oklahoma City, runs the Islamic Center at the Grand Mosque of Oklahoma City. He said there are more than 5,000 Muslims in the city. While there are no exact numbers for the Muslim population in the state, it is not among the larger communities, said Ibrahim Hooper of CAIR.

“It’s just fear-mongering; it’s nothing,” Quraishi told CNN. “What’s Sharia law have to do with Oklahoma?”

The Oklahoma controversy stems from a New Jersey legal case in which a Muslim woman went to a family court asking for a restraining order against her spouse, claiming he had raped her repeatedly. The judge ruled against her, saying that her husband was abiding by his Muslim beliefs regarding spousal duties. The decision was later overruled by an appellate court, but the case sparked a nationwide firestorm. The issue spread to Oklahoma, prompting the ballot initiative.

Tuesday’s ruling deals only with the injunction stopping certification and enforcement of 755. There was no indication when the federal district judge would hear the larger merits of the Oklahoma case and issue a ruling, but that could be some months away. The losing side could then try again at the federal appeals court, then possibly to the U.S. Supreme Court.

We have always warned, Islamophobia financed by the war-mongering extremistss will not stop, even when it has reached insanity. The most evident of this is the recent complaints from a pathetic organization called the Florida Family Association. Motivated by members of the same network of fear-mongering Islamophobes, the Florida Family Association began a campaign to pressure advertisers to pull off their advertising from the learning channel virtual reality show “All-American Muslim”. What’s more shocking is that the complaints aren’t even laughable claims about jihadists, terrorists, and sharia craziness, but that the show does not show any of that craziness! But actually in a higher level of insanity, they are now claiming that it does not show any of the Islamophobes crazy claims: “…It lacks the radicalism…” So the American media always has to demonize American Muslims and children, otherwise it should be boycotted. Because there is no tolerance in America anymore, so any minority group or a group that is different in anything will always have its members guilty till never proven innocent, which is an abhorrent level of fascism. The most shocking thing about this is that a big American corporation which sells the products that builds the average family house has decided to join this insanity and withdraw its advertising from the show!

Well, we have had it.

At this point, as a community leader, I urge every American who has any decency left from the decency that this country was built on, to totally boycott Lowes corporation and any of its affiliates, and I urge every single decent American, Muslim or non-Muslim, to send a letter to Robert Niblock, the CEO of Lowes Corporation, and tell them that, unless they apologize for their actions, we will tell everyone we know or could talk sense into, not to buy a penny of Lowes’ products for this inexcusable action.

If you don’t do that, then it’s about time that you’ll be next. Whether you’re too tall, too short, too dark, or anything that stands unfavorable to those who are absolutely insane and who are working hard to undermine the foundations that this great country was built upon.

That is how fascist Germany started.

Feedback on the Event: Clarifying the Lies about Prophet Mohammad”

As a student and companion of nature, I found Brother Zayad’s presentation to be insightful and in resonance with my inner truth. Rather than create an environment that lectured upon the righteousness of Islam to the exclusion of other religious systems, his content illustrated the connections among the ancient religions in rich detail and with an overall message: follow the right path and all will be taken care of for you. Immediately I sensed his conviction as he penetrated the misconceptions about Islam and brought to light how damaging half-truths and falsities can be.

For the Muslim, he invited questions to help clarify one’s purpose and knowledge. For the non-Muslim, he courageously engaged popular perceptions and applied his years of research and practice to demonstrate Islam’s profound wisdom. In our world where there is pervasive lack of willingness to learn for oneself, I felt Brother Zayad’s use of practical examples, especially in reference to Shariah Law proved the importance of doing one’s own research and maintaining the purity of ancient principles given to humanity. In my view, Shariah Law makes perfect practical sense, as do each of the Islamic principles I’ve been exposed to thus far.

The Muslim Students Association is doing a great job at sharing the teachings of Islam with the NJCU community. My hope is for there to be more members of the university to attend these events, become more knowledgeable and wiser about the value of Islam.

Pittsburgh (CNN) — An Idaho man who acquaintances say called President Barack Obama “the anti-Christ” was charged Thursday with trying to assassinate him in a shooting incident outside the White House, federal authorities said.

Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez, 21, is accused of firing shots at the White House on Friday, including some that hit the building near the residence area where Obama and his family live, according to a complaint document made public after the suspect’s initial court hearing Thursday.

One witness described to investigators hearing about “eight sounds of popping noise” and seeing “puffs of air” from a car on Constitution Avenue near the White House, an FBI agent’s sworn statement said.

One bullet hit a window and was stopped by bulletproof glass, and another was found on the White House exterior, the Secret Service said.

Investigators found a semi-automatic rifle, several boxes of ammunition and nine spent shell casings in a car owned by Ortega-Hernandez that was parked several blocks away on the lawn of the National Institute of Peace, the agent’s affidavit said.

Ortega-Hernandez was charged with attempted assassination, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jimmy Kitchen said Thursday at the suspect’s initial court hearing in Pittsburgh. The charge carries a possible maximum penalty of life in prison and a $250,000 fine.

At the brief hearing, Ortega-Hernandez spoke once, answering “yes, ma’am” when Magistrate Cynthia Eddy asked if he understood what his federal defender had said on his behalf.

Eddy agreed with a prosecution request for Ortega-Hernandez to remain in custody. Ortega-Hernandez agreed to be extradited to the District of Columbia, and the federal defender, Christopher Brown, said the defendant reserved his right for a detention and preliminary hearing after the transfer.

The government agreed not to formally indict Ortega-Hernandez until after his transfer, Brown said. It was not immediately clear when the transfer would occur, but it was expected in coming days.

With long, tangled hair and a beard, Ortega-Hernandez wore a white jumpsuit and was handcuffed with legs chained when entering the courtroom guarded by U.S. marshals.

Guards removed the handcuffs for the hearing, but the leg chains remained on as he sat down.

The complaint document said that on the night of November 11, two witnesses saw shots fired toward the White House through the window of a car on Constitution Avenue. The car’s Idaho plates registered to Ortega-Hernandez.

Another witness saw a man run away from the same vehicle a few blocks away, the complaint document said. From the vehicle, police recovered a rifle of the same caliber as recovered shells from the White House grounds, it said.

A law enforcement official told CNN on Thursday that a trace of the weapon did not show Ortega-Hernandez as the purchaser.

The official, who was not authorized to speak about the ongoing investigation, provided no further information on the weapon’s purchase.

According to three acquaintances cited in the complaint document, Ortega-Hernandez considered Obama the cause of his problems and referred to him at times as the “anti-Christ” and the devil.

One witness — identified only as “W-4″ — told investigators that Ortega-Hernandez “has increasingly become more agitated against the federal government, and is convinced that the federal government is conspiring against him,” the FBI agent’s affidavit said.

He “wanted to ‘hurt’ President Obama and referred to him as ‘the anti-Christ,’” the witness said.

Another witness — identified as “W-6″ — also quoted Ortega-Hernandez calling Obama “the anti-Christ.” This witness told agents Ortega-Hernandez told him he “needed to kill him.”

A third witness, known as “W-7,” told investigators Ortega-Hernandez owned an “AK-47 like gun.” His “opinions and comments regarding the government and President Obama have gotten worse” over the past year, the witness told agents.

“W-7 stated that Ortega-Hernandez believed President Obama is ‘the devil,’ and that Ortega-Hernandez ‘will not stop until it’s done.’” the affidavit said. “W-7 also reported that Ortega-Hernandez stated President Obama ‘needed to be taken care of.’”

Lt. Brad Shields of the Pennsylvania State Police said Ortega-Hernandez was arrested Wednesday in western Pennsylvania under a U.S. Park Police warrant issued Sunday in Washington “based on a shooting that occurred at the White House on November 11.”

According to Shields, a tip came in Wednesday that the man sought by federal authorities in the Washington shooting was at a Hampton Inn in the town of Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Ortega-Hernandez had stayed at the hotel with another person for a few days before the Friday shooting incident, Shields said.

When Ortega-Hernandez returned to the hotel on Wednesday, staff members recognized him from a photo provided by authorities and notified police, Shields said.

Ortega-Hernandez was arrested without any resistance in the hotel lobby, asking why he was being detained, Shields said. A bag of his was checked by sniffer dogs, but no weapons were found, according to Shields.

The suspect apparently had returned to the hotel to locate what Shields called “his friend,” and Shields said the suspect’s companion was not from the area. He provided no further details of the companion’s identity or whereabouts.

In Idaho Falls, Idaho, police spokeswoman Joelyn Hansen said the man — identified there as Oscar Ramiro Ortega — was reported missing October 31. Hansen said Ortega is the same man who the Secret Service is calling Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez.

The bullets were found on the south side of the White House, a Secret Service official not authorized to speak on the record told CNN.

“A round was stopped by ballistic glass behind the historic exterior glass,” a Secret Service statement said. “One additional round has been found on the exterior of the White House. This damage has not been conclusively connected to Friday’s incident, and an assessment of the exterior of the White House is ongoing,”.

On Friday about 9 p.m., U.S. Park Police and the Secret Service investigated after hearing shots fired about 700 to 800 yards from the White House, the Secret Service statement said.

Within five minutes, officers located a vehicle in the 2300 block of Constitution Avenue, according to the statement.

The FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Metropolitan Police Department all took part in the search for Ortega-Hernandez, officials said.
